How does Pay As You Go billing work?
Billing is done monthly via Stripe. There is no monthly base fee. You only pay for the voice minutes and chat conversations actually used, according to the published price tiers. Booked add-ons (numbers, users) are also billed monthly. All costs are calculated retrospectively (postpaid) at the end of the billing period and shown on your invoice. There is no billing for the Free Plan.
Can I switch from the Free Plan to Pay As You Go?
Yes, you can switch from your Free Plan to Pay As You Go at any time. You can do this easily in your customer area. This requires providing a payment method.
What happens if I use up my starting credit in the Free Plan?
After you have used up your monthly 30 voice minutes and 10 chat conversations in the Free Plan, the voice and chat functions will be deactivated for the current month. To continue using the service, you can easily switch to the Pay As You Go plan at any time and benefit from usage-based billing. There is no automatic conversion or charging of costs in the Free Plan.
Do I need a payment method for Pay As You Go?
Yes, for the Pay As You Go plan, you must provide a valid payment method (e.g., credit card via Stripe) upon activation. This is necessary to bill the incurred usage-based costs as well as costs for booked add-ons. No payment method is required for the Free Plan.
